GAME DETAILS

The Winter Classic is here! We start the home season off with a bang against the Midwest Allstars. The visiting team is in its third year and comes off a great run at the USARS 2017 Nationals where it placed 4th. Lead by experienced skaters Cheryl Cryer and Deanna Petrella, the team is made up of players from all around the Midwest, including Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin. The MWAS know their rivals well and will try to use their hard-hitting and dynamic style to defeat the Red Hots at home for the first time since the two teams started competing with each other three seasons ago.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Red Hots lost some of its most reliable jammers, including captain (now coach), Dakota Prosch, Team USA junior skater, Mackenzie Chesko, and fan-favorite, Karli Craig. However, the team has picked up some fresh, young talent to replace them and continues to have veterans Dani Henderson, Danielle Horyn and Bevin Filippo.
